The Giving Tree

The Giving Tree

It is not a story of a Giving Tree. Yet it gives all it has keeping nothing to itself. It is work of wonder. It is a work of wonder by nature. Standing any where on the rock, in thick of forest or all alone in the middle of field as this one in the picture, every tree is just a giving tree.

It grows to give and it gives to grow. it gives cool shade on a Sunny day, when the sun is hot and harsh. It yields love and care to the whoever comes to it. it offers space to birds to build their nests and peck on the fruits whenever they are hungry. Its branches offer a play area to them and the birds love to hop and chirp about the tree. They are always twittering and fly about the tree. The tree never complains, never grumbles, never gets angry with them. It simply listens to their twittering and smiles about. It is happy with its birds.

To the poor farmer, it only gives fruits with natural delicacy, it yields leaves and wood which they use along with their family to keep them warm in a cold winter night. It asks for nothing in return. It does not seek any food nor fertilisers. To the earth it gives Oxygen, the fresh air and sucks all the bad air called Carbon Dioxide (CO2)

In the morning, it is first to welcome the Sun and the sun in return kisses its leaves and make them green. The sun fills its kitchen with food which the tree consumes slowly to grow to become big.  The rain makes it greener and adds water to the soil. The rich soil allows the roots of the tree go deeper still. Alone or together, it works to enrich the environment.

How wonderful is the work of wonder.
It is really a giving tree.

Some more point for consideration:
How in your opinion is a tree a work of wonder?
What other things a tree gives us?
